A Creative Day at Somewhere House

Today at Somewhere House rehabilitation centre, clients have been working hard on their addiction recovery. During this mornings therapy group, clients and facilitators went to the lovely beach we have just a 3 minute walk away from the treatment centre to create a group sculpture. Whilst this enables clients to work on building their relationships, it also enables them to work together with basic materials to create something that has a significant meaning. The importance of play was emphasised and how the impact of this is different dependent on the individual. This afternoon the focus is on encouraging clients to express themselves through the use of music therapy.
